7 months old
Ethan turned 7 months old on Thursday. I can’t believe how big he is getting and how strong his arms and legs are. When he is in his tot wheels, he can move himself all over the place. A couple weeks ago we bought him an ExerSaucer and he really loves that thing. It’s spring loaded so he can jump up and down in it. He grunts when he gets really excited and it’s the funniest damn thing. Recently he graduated from grunting to screaming. How fortunate for Marie & I…
I’m so glad the weather is finally warming up. It’s so nice to be outside and not have to wear a jacket. Marie & I have taken the dogs to Riverside park a couple of times since it’s been so nice out. We were there today and I picked up some nice looking rocks to add to my new 10g tank in the bedroom. We moved the 5 gallon that was in the bedroom to Ethan’s room and setup a 10g tank in it’s place. Right now we have 8 neon tetra’s and a dwarf african frog. We got two free babies with the frog, a guppy and a dalmation molly - but the molly has gone missing and was probably eaten by the frog. I want to get 2 dwarf gourami’s in there which is probably overstocking the tank a little bit but I’m good at doing 25% water changes every week so I don’t think it will be a problem.
One of the femaile platies in the 5g tank has been pregnant for a couple of weeks now. I picked up a breeding tank and set it up in the 10g tank and put the female platy into it in hopes of actually being able to raise some fry. I had a pregnant platy before but I never saw any babies, as I’m sure the other fish in the tank ate them as soon as they were born. I guess they are a tasty treat for the other fish.
Marc, Hoo, Baby J, Marie & I went and saw Kill Hannah at St. Andrew’s in Detroit on Friday. In our typical fashion, Marc & I kept the ride interesting as we bounced movie quotes off each other. It was a good show and they played a bunch of songs off the upcoming album. I liked all of the new songs alot. I’ve been listening to Lips Like Morphine like crazy. Can’t wait to hear the whole album, tho it sounds like it’s going to be a few months before it’s released. We will be seeing them again when they come to Grand Rapids to play at the Intersection on May 30th.
I think we should invite the band over for an after party at our house and fire up the arcade.
