Scratch off’’s

About two months ago Marie picked me up a Pac-Man lottery ticket since she knew I would get a big kick out of it. I scratched it off and won $20! Not bad for a $2 ticket. We played a couple more times here and there and won a few dollars but nothing to get excited about. We called it quits for awhile since our winning streak came to a halt. A couple of days ago I had a feeling I should go buy a couple scratch off’s.  So I picked up 3 from the gas station right by my house, grabbed a nickel and went to town. I won $5 on the first ticket, $4 on the second and nothing on the third. Not too bad I thought. Spent $6 on the tickets, won $9. So today I’m coming home for lunch and that little voice in my head tells me I should cash in my tickets and get 4 more to try my luck again. So I get two of the ‘Lucky Numbers’ and two ‘Three Stooges’ tickets.

I scratched off the first Three Stooges and won nothing. The second one I didn’t match any numbers but got a ‘tv’ icon with $20 under it. After reading the instructions, I find out that if you get a ‘tv’ icon, you get double the prize listed under it. Sweet, I just won $40! Of course the next two tickets won me nothing. But who cares, I just won $40! I go and cash in my ticket and stop before my luck runs out.

Between my winnings today and the extra cash I made doing a computer job, that more than pays for my two day trip to the Point this weekend with Marc, Hoo & Kelly. We were going to make the trip last weekend but the weather didn’t cooperate. It’s been 7 years since I’ve been to Cedar Point, which is too just damn long, especially considering Marc and I went every summer back in the 90’s. There are a bunch of new rides since the last time I was there like Millennium Force, Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster. This trip will be the first time I’ve went down for two days. Since it’s October, we will be hitting up the haunted houses and what not on Saturday night and then get there early Sunday morning and hit up the coasters all day.
